Policies

We keep things simple. Read these before you book so there are no surprises — and reach out anytime if anything's unclear.

Policy 01

Cancellation policy

At Shady Acres Caravan Park, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy applies to all direct accommodation bookings unless different conditions are stated at the time of booking.

Cancellations more than 7 days before arrival

Bookings may be cancelled or changed without charge when at least 7 days' notice is provided before the scheduled check-in date.

Any accommodation payment already made will be refunded.

Cancellations within 7 days of arrival

Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled check-in date may incur a cancellation fee equal to the first night's accommodation.

Where possible, and at management's discretion, the booking may be transferred to another available date instead of a cancellation fee being applied. Any rescheduled stay must be used within 6 months and may be subject to rate differences.

No-shows and early departures

Guests who do not arrive and have not contacted us to cancel their booking may be charged or invoiced for the full booking amount.

No refunds or credits will be provided for early departures or unused nights after check-in.

Payment

Guests may pay for their accommodation when making the booking or at reception upon arrival.

Changes to bookings

Changes to booking dates, accommodation type or guest numbers are subject to availability and may result in a change to the total booking price.

Cancellations by Shady Acres Caravan Park

In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide the booked accommodation, we will contact the guest as soon as possible and offer an alternative date, suitable alternative accommodation where available, or a full refund of any amount already paid.

Policy 02

Pet policy

Shady Acres is a pet-friendly, family-friendly park — well-behaved dogs are warmly welcome on caravan sites, camping sites and in selected pet-friendly cabins year-round. Please let us know about your pet at the time of booking so we can place you on a suitable site.

On lead at all times

We do not have a dedicated off-lead area within the park. Dogs must remain on a lead at all times when outside your site or cabin, including on walks through the bushland tracks within the property.

Owner responsibilities

  • Please clean up after your dog — bags are available at reception.
  • Pets are not to be left unattended at any time on your site, in your cabin, or in vehicles.
  • Excessive barking or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated; we may ask owners of disruptive pets to leave.
  • Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets.

Suitability

Shady Acres is a calm, family-oriented park — quiet, well-mannered dogs fit in beautifully. Assistance animals are always welcome and are not bound by pet-friendly cabin restrictions.

Policy 03

Other rates & information

Peak season

Peak season includes School Holidays, Christmas, Easter, Long Weekends, Public Holidays and Special Events. Rates and minimum-night stays may differ from low-season pricing during these periods.

Linen

Linen for single beds can be supplied for $7 per bed. Please request linen at the time of booking so we can have it ready on arrival.

Weekly rates

Weekly rates are available on request — perfect for FIFO workers, long-stay travellers and families taking a longer break. Reach out and we'll send a personalised quote.
